    Toronto Cupcake Re-Design

  • Date: December 2021
  • Job Title: UX Designer

  • Software: Adobe XD

  • Description: This website is a re-design assignment I did for a cupcake shop in Toronto, ON called ‘Toronto Cupcake’. The company’s original website had a lot of poor UX designs, the website looked bland with poor colour choices, and the website layout and navigation system were bad making it difficult to browse through it. I wanted to make the re-design visually appealing and easy to navigate. In doing so, I adjusted the previous colour scheme, created a clean and simple layout for the pages, and used better quality images to help make the site stand out. You can see a clear difference between the original and the re-design.

    CoZy Books

  • Date: November 2021
  • Job Title: UX Designer

  • Software: Adobe XD

  • Description: CoZy Books is a fictional bookstore I created for my UX design class and had three parts to its creation. CoZy Books is a local bookstore in the Nepean area that holds books of many interests for people of all ages. I created the logo for the bookstore along with the colour scheme and mobile website. When creating the website, I wanted to stick with the ‘cozy’ theme of the bookstore so, I used dark warm colours mixed with light cool colours to give that feel. The layout is simple and straight to the point making it easier for people to navigate through. This website was the first of many to come.

    Castillo Photography

  • Date: December 2021
  • Job Title: UX Designer

  • Software: Figma

  • Description: Castillo photography is a fictional photography studio created for my final assignment in UX Design. Castillo Photography is a photo studio that does wedding photography for newly engaged couples but also does portrait photography for couples and families. This assignment was done in pairs and my partner, and I worked together to create the company itself, the logo, and the website. My partner created the company’s logo along with the colour scheme we would use while I chose and applied the different types of web psychology we would use. Together, we built the website to look like a professional photography site and received a lot of positive reviews for its outcome.
